Established in September 2014, the Pharm.D program adheres to international standards, offering comprehensive training in Pathophysiology, Pharmacotherapy, and patient counseling. The program collaborates with Government Headquarters Hospital, Thiruvallur, to provide hands-on clinical experience and hospital training to Pharm.D students.

The Department operates a well-established Drug Information Centre (DIC) at the Government General Hospital, Thiruvallur. Equipped with reliable resources like Micromedex, the DIC provides healthcare professionals and patients with essential information on drug therapies, pharmacokinetics, and adverse drug reactions.

The department offers patient counseling services, including guidance on social habits modification, physical activities, stress management, diet, and proper administration of medications. These services aim to improve patient outcomes and foster healthier lifestyles.

Through the DIC, the department provides up-to-date information on new drugs, innovative therapies, poison management, and antidotes. This ensures healthcare professionals remain informed about the latest advancements in pharmacological sciences.
